Guest ShowMeCouple Posted October 18, 2018 My wife and I are early 50's, both on our second marriage and crazy about each other. After our divorces we were both involved in swapping / swinging / etc but not with each other. The topic of finding another couple to play with comes up frequently. Any advise on how to find that couple? Attend a party, this board, a cruise maybe? Any thoughts are certainly appreciated. Quote Share this post Link to post
BobGann 40 Posted October 19, 2018 Sounds like you have some experience, how were you finding partners before? I'm around the same age, and have stopped/started the lifestyle a few times. As I get back into it now, I'm thinking that going to meet-and-greets, clubs, or parties is the way to go. The online thing can be frustrating, and I've found in the past that once I can get a chance to actually meet people face to face and get to know them a bit the success rate goes way up. In person, you are unique. In an online profile, especially as a single guy, you are one of about a zillion and it doesn't really matter how well written the profile or how photogenic you are, it's hard to break out of that pack. I'd assume the same goes for couples most of the time. Might not hurt to join a site like SLS that will advertise some local groups and clubs in your area and start attending them. adamgunn 1,461 Posted October 19, 2018 The two choices you have are a) Do it online. Set up a profile on SLS, SDC, Kasidie, etc. Plenty of advice on that around here. b) Go to a club, a LifeStyle resort, a cruise, etc. Again, plenty of info around here. Good luck. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,068 Posted October 19, 2018 Any advise on how to find that couple? Attend a party, this board, a cruise maybe? Yes to all of the above. Use whatever works best for you and you are most comfortable with. We like online since there is a much larger pool to pick from, but you never know if there is a connection until you meet so parties and cruises will work as well. Good luck on your search. MarniJohn 172 Posted October 20, 2018 We like swing clubs because we can interact with other couples. If gives you a lot of choices and you're not stuck with anyone. Worst case scenario is you have a fun night out together! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
agreatguy 269 Posted October 20, 2018 We like swing clubs because we can interact with other couples. If gives you a lot of choices and you're not stuck with anyone. Worst case scenario is you have a fun night out together! This is us as well. We gave up on online dating because the time invested doesn't yield sufficient results. We can learn more about a couple or single in a club in just 5 minutes than with hours of emailing back and forth. We are looking at a trip to Pearl next year. Sounds like much the same as a club but you just have more time to find people you might actually have something more in common with. I would think cruises would have much the same vibe. We learned early on not to ever go out to our club with the expectation that we're going to find someone to play with. We just go to have fun, meet people and hope to play if the opportunity arises but we don't expect it. House parties seem like they might come with a little more pressure and expectation. njbm 2,901 Posted October 20, 2018 We are going on a Bliss cruise in a few weeks. We find cruises a lot of fun and generally an easy way to meet people. Desire and Hedo are fun, but more dicey to meet people. We are on SLS and SDC, but meeting people and actually playing is rare. A lot of frauds, men posing as couples and people who do not play on line. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
