Nikniksh 15 Posted December 3, 2018 Hi. We have lately started "swinging" mainly at parties and had some basic experiance so far. Celebrating my wifes 40s Bday I am looking for a resort vacation for us both ( ..."hedonism style" i guess). The problem is that we are talking about the cold January - Feb 2019. Please some advice for possiable locationans and resorts suitale and active on this season. We are sporty and active so somthing rocking will do. I also wonder if there are some indoor places as well ... Europe maybe? Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted December 3, 2018 By far the best is Desires in Cancun. There are two of them, Desires Pearl is a bit nicer but the crowd a bit older as well. Both are heads and shoulders above Hedo, although Hedo is fun two if you want more of a spring break type of experience, way more guys than gals. Both Desires are couples only. Cancun is in Mexico, east Coast. Quote Share this post Link to post

GoldCoCouple 4,065 Posted December 4, 2018 We would pick Desire RM ourselves but some people love Pearl just as much. The weather in January is GREAT. While it may be cold in the northern hemisphere, it's the peak season in Cancun from December to April (average temp 87 degrees). so, can you tell me more of the style, how it goes there, and the diffrance between the resorts Style...if you check around you can find all kinds of sites (web) and threads (here) that talk about the two locations. Mainly, it's an all inclusive couples only resort...one price covers everything including food and alcohol. It's upscale, but there are other nicer (and less expensive) all inclusive resorts, but those other resorts don't have all of the same 'options' (as in allowing nudity and is swinger friendly but optional). Nudity is not required, but then why are you going there if not to be nude? We think the 'couples only' is an important part. Hedonism II is also nude and swinger friendly, but it has a 'mild' and a 'wild' side to the resort and allows single men to book rooms. Being bothered by single horny men is something we try to avoid which is what has kept us away from there. Both Desire RM and Desire Pearl is 'swinger friendly' meaning there are places you can play with or in front of others but you are not expected to be a swinger to attend. So if you are looking for some place to go where you MAY find other couples to play with, those are your options. If you are looking for a place that is "sporty and active so something rocking will do", then it sounds like Desire RM is the right location. Just our opinion, but we think the distance one has to travel is worth what they have to offer. The only other option would be the Desire Mediterranean cruises that they have, but they are rather costly (IOHO) and the 2019 cruise (in September) is already sold out. Let us know what you choose and how it was. Quote Share this post Link to post

harplitt 25 Posted December 6, 2018 This post might be flagged for directing you to another source, but if you go to this forum, you'll have great info about Desire resorts. We went last year, and this forum truly prepared us for what we were getting into, and made the entire trip that much better: Desire Resorts Forums Quote Share this post Link to post
lnw 145 Posted December 17, 2018 We concur that Desire properties are the best option this time of year. Had it been during the summer, we would direct you to France given where you are now. But for Jan/Feb - you cannot go wrong with Desire resorts. We made 3 trips this year. Since you have a significant investment in travel time, we would suggest you book a number of days in Desire Riviera Maya and an equal number of days in Desire Pearl. We prefer Pearl for the upscale venue and larger pool and jacuzzi. Both have top notch service and both offer the same sexy vibe. January is billed as International Swingers Month which is simply a marketing program by Desire for both properties. We did not find any difference between Jan, Feb, May or November during our visits. All depends upon the crowd at the time and that changes daily as people are always checking in and out. agreatguy 269 Posted December 20, 2018 We've been to Cancun and Cozumel in December and January. I'm a SCUBA diver. The water that time of year is in the mid to upper 70s. I'll dive in a rash suit if it's sunny and not too much wind. I'll wear a wet suit if not, not because of the water temp but because getting out of the water can be cold if it's Quote Share this post Link to post
jbcoke8 18 Posted February 12, 2019 What would be the best time of year to go to Desire as far as the weather? I understand the hurricane season is June-November which is kind of a crapshoot but as far as non-hurricane best weather conditions (not to hot, not to cold) what is the best time to go? Thanks. GoldCoCouple 4,065 Posted February 12, 2019 There are two distinct seasons in Cancun. The wet season runs from May to October and is slightly hotter, the dry season is from November to April with cooler temperatures. Hotel rates and airfare are typically at their lowest during hurricane season, which technically lasts from June until the end of October. Usually, hurricane season peaks in August and September.
