the Nomads 78 Posted February 18, 2019 We checked out another house party that was a bit closer to us. It wasn't bad though we didn't find anyone that we really matched up with. We did however have some great conversations and that led us to realizing something. We aren't as interested in formal swapping. I mean we would much rather find a couple to play with as a foursome. She's interested in both sides and though I'm not really interested in other guys I don't mind watching and hopping into and out of the action. It seems though that most are looking for a solid swap instead. Is my observation wrong or are we just looking in the wrong places. Otherwise the house party was ok except for the amount of pot involved. I'm certainly not opposed to pot but you couldn't hang out outside without getting smothered in it. The wife isn't into the stuff and starts to get a headache so that certainly didn't help the night either. I'm beginning to feel like the clubs are more of our scene as we are certainly happy to play in some open areas with each other if we don't find a couple that matches up. We are also good with people stopping by and asking to join if they feel like it. Just kind of a thinking out loud post here but let me know your thoughts. njbm 2,873 Posted February 19, 2019 We usually swap with another couple. However, we went to a house party last week and we had a nice time sexually, but even better socially. Our experiences vary, but we had a fun house party. We already knew several people, so that helped. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted February 19, 2019 We tend to feel that house parties are more for orgy like activity. Hooking up with another couple, going into a room for a swap or foursome and still, you’re likely to have one or two guys other guys joining in before it’s all over. Clubs are better for a straight swap, same room or otherwise. Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,066 Posted February 19, 2019 We require a connection with other couples so we don't go to house parties. We look for friends first...then add the benefits. It works out perfectly for us, but that's one of the things about swinging: one 'size' doesn't have to fit all. Do what you like, just have a good time doing it. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,873 Posted February 19, 2019 We were at a house party last week where we knew half the attendees. Most people knew at least one other couple. In early March, we are going to a house party where we know six out of seven couples. I think that they can be fun if you at least know some people. We’ve been to some house parties where we knew no one or few and it was uncomfortable. Quote Share this post Link to post

padoc 1,703 Posted February 21, 2019 In our experience, house parties where we know the host or one or more couples are ALWAYS more comfortable and more fun than one where we know no one. In fact, we've stopped accepting invitations to parties where we aren't acquainted with people on the guest list. We know a couple who host an occasional party. The husband is a master at putting together a compatible group of 7-10 couples. He always makes contact with new couples and makes sure that those invited are either known to him or vouched for by couples who have attended and fit in to previous parties. Its an incredible skill and we've never had a bad night at their house. New couples we've brought into the group have told us that they have always felt welcome and have never had the "new meat" experience that occurs often at larger and less well vetted parties. Im not sure what his secret is but we're awfully glad that we're friends! Quote Share this post Link to post
