It has an ensemble cast including Kevin Kline, Joan Allen, Tobey Maguire, Christina Ricci, Elijah Wood, Katie Holmes, Glenn Fitzgerald, Jamey Sheridan, and Sigourney Weaver. Enjoy! Enjoy! “The Ice Storm” is a powerful and ultimately tragic drama. But anyone expecting a positive depiction of swinging will be quite disappointed. A knock-on effect of the key party is the death by electrocution of a child. Despite the fine writing and excellent acting I never felt inclined to watch this film a second time.
