NC_Seniors 518 Posted April 17, 2019 We’re going on our first Bliss Cruise next April (2020). We know there will be a couple of big play areas on board. If we see a couple or couples playing and they look good to us, is it “allowable” to ask if it’s OK to join them or are those things pretty much always negotiated before the action starts? Technically speaking, we can certainly ask and they can say yes or no ... but is it a breach of accepted protocol to even ask? Thanks to any and all who reply. Quote Share this post Link to post
padoc 1,703 Posted April 17, 2019 In a play room situation, asking to join is good. Its also good to just look for signs. If a couple are watching us and we want company, Mrs Doc has been known to simply reach out to the guy or woman and gently guide him/her to join us. In that situation eye contact and welcoming body language are a must. Pay attention. If you're unsure ask. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,872 Posted April 18, 2019 You can certainly ask others to join you in the playroom. I prefer to find playmates earlier and go to the playroom with them. But that’s not always possible. By the way, we will be on that cruise, too. Just got off the last April Bliss cruise. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted April 18, 2019 I agree, it’s nice to “get to know” someone earlier so you get some chat in, see them in the light and learn just a bit about them. But, we have been approached many a time in the play room by someone wanting to join us; it’s quite normal. Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,872 Posted April 19, 2019 It may be easier to get people to join in the playroom. Getting people to go there with you is fraught with peril. The dreaded four way match, people who you think play don’t, etc. Quote Share this post Link to post

adamgunn 1,460 Posted September 28, 2019 When we head into a playroom and my partner and I (or just me if she's busy elsewhere) see someone we'd like to play with, we watch them for a little while. The best thing is to make eye contact, you get a vibe if they're open to being joined. If I get the feeling they are, I approach her (them) and ask, "May I?" If she (they) say something that approximates yes, or their body language is approving, I'll jump in slowly. Perhaps I'll offer a kiss to the woman, feel her breast. My wife does the same thing with the male. If they don't object at that point, it's off to the races until I hear the word 'no'. Quote Share this post Link to post
