enhancer 1,585 Posted November 26, 2019 Hey all just wondering what your first thoughts are when you see a couple profile where there is a big age difference of say 10 years or more between the two of them? Does a big age difference between a couple make you hesitate to contact them? Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,871 Posted November 26, 2019 If we both find them attractive, no problem. But if one looks a lot older than the other one, it may be harder for them to find compatible couples. Quote Share this post Link to post
hkdilbert 182 Posted November 27, 2019 I think there is more than just the age difference that needs to be taken into account. We've got a 14 year difference, but at 63/49 it does not seem that big. We're also pretty compatible in most other ways. Now if you take a 14-year spread and apply it to a say 28 year old male, with a 14 year old girlfriend the situation changes radically. For us the age differences we've seen that are a complete turn off usually involve a barely legal woman (under 20 most of the time) with a much older man (think 20 - 40 year age difference) with a totally unkempt appearance (not bathed, greasy hair and appearance, etc). Obviously 99.9% of the time this is more of a financial consideration for the young lady. I'm not here to judge the lady in that situation however when we see something like this we stay as far away as we can. And yes, these types of profiles do come up on the various lifestyle sites from time to time. C&T Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted November 27, 2019 First of all, 10 years is not a big age difference, maybe only slightly at 22 and 32, not at all at 45 and 55, of greater concern would be 27 and 17 or even 28 and 18 or 21 and 18. Quote Share this post Link to post
adamgunn 1,460 Posted November 27, 2019 Chico, add to your suggestions when you get later in life. After the youngest turns 60 or so, ten years is a huge difference between committed mates. Health is such a huge issue, and when you get up there it can really suck. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
