Buzzed swing is drunk swing.

Recommended Posts

What I read in a recent post made me want to say this. For a situation in which you are trying to encourage a person to try something new, like swing, having alcoholic beverage as a facilitator is not, really, a good idea. If you are not able to get into it completely sober, you should not get into it.

Now, after you do get into it and you are in the company of people who also are into it, getting buzzed or blasted is appropriate. And that's all I want to say on the subject.

I agree. Drunk people and sober people don't mix too well.

The best experiences are playing with like minded people.

This whole paragraph seems condescending and close minded. That is all.

There are plenty of things that people like/want to do - only after getting a “buzz”. Think karaoke.

There certainly are things Hey-Baby likes and wants to do - after getting a “buzz”. It’s never karaoke. To each his own.

Disagree - and I don't even drink.

It's never a good idea to get shti-faced drunk and it's VERY unattractive -- but having a drink or two breaks down inhibitions that may be unwarranted. That's a reason why people drink and have fun at gatherings -- because the booze makes them drop the petty/unjustified hangups they may have.

Humans have been employing this practice this for literally thousands of years.

The wife of a couple who we play with often (as couples, threesomes, me with her alone, my wife with her alone) has a ritual. At first she seems reluctant or maybe stoic, about engaging in sex, but pours herself a glass of wine (offering a glass as well), drinks maybe half of it, then her clothes come off and she is very eager. I've never seen her drink more than half a glass total, but she always has some, even when it's a midweek, after-work quickie.

We almost always have a glass of wine or a cocktail or two with people we play with beforehand, and often another during. Never more than that, and we've never decided to consider it only after a couple of drinks.

It does ease/warm the mood, and I agree that people can make judgment errors. I do think there's a lot of room for subjectivity in what people consider 'buzzed', and that one person's 'buzzed' is another person's 'wasted'.

I wonder what group sex on LSD would be like?

:lol::dontknow::lol:

I just completed reading the book, Electric Koolaid-Acid Test. If I am to believe what I read, 50 percent of people would consider the experience wonderful; 50 percent would be psychologically damaged.

Brings to mind the saying, "If you can remember the 60s, you weren't there."

Neither of us tried acid in college although Mrs Doc had some friends who did and they said sex was incredible. We occasionally have enjoyed group play after sharing edibles(just can't stand the smell of smoking weed)and tried exstasy once with another couple (they offered and we were safe in our home). I rather enjoyed the experience, Mrs Doc did not. We do have a drink or two leading up to the clothing falling off with another couple but agree that boinking someone who's shit faced is not much fun.
