the Nomads 78 Posted January 4, 2020 I’m beginning to think that clubs/professional house parties are a crap shoot during holidays. We attended a house party in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve. We’ve been before and even visited on Halloween where we had a fun time. However the vibe for New Years was just really weird. The number of attendees was higher than a non holiday night but there was no action other than a couple of the private rooms being occupied. We tried to get some action going in the group room but were interrupted multiple times. First there was the couple arguing because he wanted to play in the group room and she was obviously well past her comfort zone. She finally stormed out. Then while going down on my wife we hear some gawkers commenting that they can’t believe my wife has her boobs out in public. it was almost as if the place was invaded by vanillas. Anyone else ever run into something like this? Mr Nomad Quote Share this post Link to post
padoc 1,703 Posted January 4, 2020 Mrs Doc got sick just before Christmas this year and so we had to cancel our trip north and our NYE at TPA. That party has never disappointed us. Last year, we went to a small house party in Florida where we knew one other couple, turned out that the rest of the partiers looked about 20 years older then their pictures or professed ages. I think we left 10 minutes after the ball dropped. We normally LOVE our nights at Trapeze in FLL but our experiences on NYE 2014 and 2016 were disappointing. The crowd was too big, the music was too loud, people got drunk early including the DJ, who messed up the countdown, how the hell can you do THAT? One guy got insistent and belligerent with my wife and had to be taken down (he started to get grabby, she told him no twice, I did once, firmly. When he came back again, I quit talking, he dropped before the ball did). The play areas could not accommodate the size of the crowd, you shouldn't have to stand in line to boink at a swingers club. People were still coming in the front door when we gave up and left before 12:30. We didn't even consider it this year. If we don't go north to TPA next year, we may simply invite 3-4 couples we know well to our house. We have 3 bedrooms, a leather sectional and a heated pool and spa. The only drawback is that our neighbor will probably feel compelled to spend her NYE praying for the naked sinners next door. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
NWAtlSwing 522 Posted January 5, 2020 We have never done swingers event for NYE. Maybe we need too Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnuswing 4,713 Posted January 6, 2020 We've never done any swinging holiday events. Honestly, never had much desire to because of expectations that it would turn out to be like some of the non-fun stuff described above. We haven't been doing much clubbing the last few years, but we're still on the email list, and just the vibe you get from those two months before the holiday "Selling out fast, make your reservations now!" emails is it is just a scene we probably wouldn't enjoy. The Padoc's 2021 NYE party is more our idea of a fun holiday night Quote Share this post Link to post
udsarge 119 Posted January 10, 2020 A swinging event on New Years Eve? I don't know how I feel if there are other balls dropping aside from the one in Times Square!!! Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,871 Posted January 10, 2020 We went to a NYE hotel party in Pennsylvania about 5 years ago. It was very cliquey. We did not meet any prospective partners. While we enjoyed the evening with each other, the party was a bust. We find a lot of people at these parties play with people they know or are often poseurs who like to walk around in lingerie, it is difficult to go from 0-100 mph with people you’ve never met before. Guest Posted January 11, 2020 We were in FL this year, just walked down the street to a beach front bar/restaurant that has live music, wore a short little dress, got friendly with a gentleman who started chatting with us. Ended up in MFM back at the condo we were renting. Happy New Years. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted January 13, 2020 Yeah, we have given up on the lifestyle parties on holidays. Been to a few hotel takeovers and wickedly large social group house parties and Pfffffft. Like commented above, there are few serious swingers and the posers and wannabes reduce the parties to high school dances. Of all we have attended, once I got laid in a garage by a hired wait staff (go figure), tried a glory hole, and got fucked in the back of a limo by some fun guys that offered us a ride home vs our Uber option. We never waste the occasion though and normally leave early and go out to a bar and find some adult fun. The best parties are small group home parties with experienced full swap swingers. This year we were with 4 other couples and had a Viagra Party (Not because it was needed but Ooof!) My thighs were burning for a day from squatting on some very hard husbands.
