Didn't know that blue flowerpots were a sign...off to the nursery we go! Congrats that you are doing so well together, something similar happened with me and Ms Gold and we ended up in the same place as you are. Wishing you continued success.

I heard that pineapples and black rings are tell tale signs.

Congratulations on your entry into the lifestyle! Sounds like you are off to a good start.

Not so easy in the pandemic. Hope you are in a better state for Covid.  Things were terrible in our NY metro area, now in the Sunbelt.

Tide boxes?  I always wonder why our neighbor collects empty tide boxes on the side of their house but never put them on the bargage bin to be collected! ?

Some of the LS folks we've met really do wear the black rings and pineapple jewelry

That's a cool mask. Did you sew it or buy it? btw, pardon my ignorance... why is the ls symbol an upside down pineapple?

A member of my staff sewed them for us.

We did the usual searches for the origin of the symbolism, and came up empty. Same goes for flamingos, pampas grass, black rings, white rocks, blue flowerpots, ankle bracelets, white rocks... For us this was just a bit of humor

The problem with a secret symbol is that once just about anyone knows what it is, it's no longer a secret. Once upon a time the rainbow was a secret symbol for someone being gay or a lesbian, now everyone knows what it means (and it has been expanded to be more inclusive) but it started out as a secret way to find other like minded people.

Now if you really want to leave little doubt. Your lady is fitted out with a none to subtle ankle bracelet that she wears while sunbathing in an almost non existent two piece, laying on lounge chair right between  the Pampas grass and the Pink Flamingo threesome, while sipping a drink through a phallus shaped straw from a pineapple cup.

We wear these black rings and have had luck with them already! They are from Partners ID. Never heard about Tide boxes or blue flower pots!

I've never seen that symbol before...I must not be a very good swinger ? According to their (Partner ID) website, that is the International Swinger Symbol. While I do really like some of their jewelry, I don't really understand the sign. According to the internet, there is a different swingers sign (another one that I have never seen:

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Swinger_Symbol_05.png

and according to the NY Post there are all other kinds of things that mean you are a swinger:

https://nypost.com/2017/06/02/secret-signs-your-neighbor-might-be-a-swinger/

Papas grass (when we moved to our current home, I spent months killing and removing papas grass because I just can't stand it...had I known...)

Black rings

White landscaping rock

Pineapples (especially if it is a door knocker)

Pink Flamingos

Ones we haven't mentioned yet include:

Wearing your wedding ring on your right hand instead of your left

Garden gnomes

Having a hot tub in the garden (we have been known to say that if you are a swinger you either need to have a hot tub or a boat, but that doesn't make all hot tub or boat owners swingers)

and swingers will never open their garage door until they’re in the car with the doors closed (totally don't understand this one)

They also site another symbol: which consists of the international male and female signs arranged horizontally with their circles intersecting, with three plus or minus signs on both sides, differs slightly depending on what the swinger is into (haven't even seen this one as well).

http://www.swingercode.org/en/

The problem with all of the symbols is that there are people who use them just because they like them (with the exception of the actual 'swinger symbols'). Prince Harry wears a black ring on his right hand and I don't think he is a swinger (but love thinking that he might be). It’s actually a sleep and activity tracker called the Oura Ring. I also had a girlfriend way back when I was in high school who loved rainbows and even had one on her car (back when it was still a secret symbol). When she found out what it was meaning, she eventually took it off (she wasn't happy about that be we attended a Christian HS and it was the school that told her what its secret meaning was).

Bottom line: It could be very embarrassing to walk up to the neighbor and start talking about swinging only to find out that they just like the look of papas grass and white rock surrounding their hot tub guarded by garden gnomes and pink flamingos. It can also make it very uncomfortable to stay in the neighborhood once word gets around about what the two of you are doing (which is the problem with secret symbols to start with).

We have those rings and we love them!  This company has been around for quite a while now, they are not new.  We bought ours in France while vacationing and never have any vanilla friends asked if they mean something.

Prince Harry wears one, which is what sparked speculation about his being a swinger.  Our black rings have the swinger logo on them.  Cool concept.

Hi out there. I’m married and in an evolving relationship. Last year I did a burlesque photo shoot for him as a gift. He loved the way it turned out but asked if I’d be willing to do something more risqué in the future. I got a reference from the original photographer (female) and told my husband the new photographer would be a male. Being the protective husband he is we both requested a meeting over a cup of coffee. We met which was great and made things all the more comfortable. I loved what I saw from his book and my husband did as well.

We had the shoot and the pictures came out great. He got really turned on by knowing another guy was doing the pictures. I was shocked. I asked him if he’d consider doing a couples shoot with me and he said he’d try but was reluctant. Pretty soon after he agreed and we were off again.

Prior to the shoot my husband and the photographer talked about his career. My husband, who’s faithful, shocked me a bit with his envy and open talk about what the photographer experienced. I’m extremely open and joined in the conversation. Both of us felt like we were conversing with someone we really liked and knew a lot longer than we actually did. Unfortunately my husband had difficulties getting hard which is completely out of the ordinary. The photographer said it happened a lot and just to relax.

Surprisingly at my husband's request he asked for me to do a POV shoot the photographer showed us in his book. Basically it’s the photographer including himself in various ways while taking the pictures. As we started taking the pictures I liked being touched by the photographer even though it wasn’t active foreplay or sex. It really was strictly for the pictures themselves. During the pictures my husband quickly got hard and watched. Eventually the photographer asked him if he was going to get involved. The rest of the shoot went as we planned. Afterwards we all sat around and talked and went through the pictures.

Some time passed again and we talked a lot about the fun we had with it. My husband admitted he liked watching the photographer touch me and if not for that he may have been to nervous to get hard.

I really want this to develop further but I’m apprehensive because it’s a major change in life obviously. I’m also not sure about how I feel about seeing him with someone else. When I say I’m not sure I mean most likely not. I don’t even really think he wants to. I almost feel like if I bring that up it will be too much too fast. Multiple times when having sex we’ve dirty talked about me doing another shoot and giving myself up. I’d feel more comfortable to actually do it than talk about it.

I feel like my husband has opened a door that I want to walk into. Am I reading it wrong? Is it best for me to just set something else up and let it work itself the way it will? Based on our interactions I have no doubt the photographer would be into it also. Would I be going to far given our relationship if I reached out to the him and told him how I feel, how my husband feels, and confirm he’d say yes?

It's Monday so I thought we all could use a fun post to kick off the week. I just read a thread about "indicators or signs" about how you can identify yourself as a swinger which reminded me of a fun podcast I heard where they listed off all the ways you may be able to tell if your neighbor, co-worker, etc is a swinger.

      So I'll kick it off...

If you see your neighbor's wife headed out the door in a trenchcoat on a Saturday night...in August...well, they just may be swingers.

First of all I would like to apologise for my English , as it’s not my first language. I’m a married guy and I just told my wife that my fantasy is to have sex with her and to be watched. So my question is what is better as a first timer , to go with my wife to a swingers club or to just meet another couple and have same room sex. What do you guys suggest? I’m not into wife swap. I just love to be watched

I and my wife have come across a few couples, who we were not sure were swingers are not and we found it very difficult to break ice

I have always wondered why no one has ever thought of a few secret signals that could convey the message, signals like that of the Masonic Lodge, which are understood only by swingers. These could be simple signals which only swingers understand. This will make things easier for both parties. Signals could be such If not understood by the other couple could simply be ignored without making anything obvious. These could be universal and could be propagated by all swinger websites

I'm wondering if we're out socially, if there are subtle ways to tell if someone is a swinger; or if there are subtle ways we can bring up swinging without actually saying, "We are curious about swinging." That could really spread something we wouldn't be comfortable with in our area.
