NWAtlSwing 522 Posted January 13, 2021 COVID had put a real damper on fun for a lot of us. The thing we have missed most are house parties. We love them as they are fun, not just for play, but for sitting around naked and having good, real, conversations. What do people miss most over 2020? 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
lovefest04 700 Posted January 14, 2021 I simply miss being around friends without all the issues of distancing, who feels safe etc. Interestingly, I've only come to the place of really missing normal life the last week or so, maybe a New Years thing. Like 2020 is behind us, can't we just get back to normal. I've also missed being to act on our fantasies. IE arranging a meeting or exploring a new kinky experience. We have the ideas, get excited and then remind ourselves it's probably not safe. So a roller coaster of excitement then reality hits. I'd venture to guess that this board is populated by people that are more social beings then others. I know I crave social situations. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
PSULioness 857 Posted January 14, 2021 I miss going to our football games and friends weekends. I also miss seeing my friends and going to an office to work and seeing my coworkers. I miss going into restaurants, movies, museums, concerts, shows. I miss seeing people walking and talking. That’s it, now I’m getting depressed. I’ll tell you what I enjoy. Being with my husband and not rushing out in the morning. We have also made a decision that we allow two friends into our house. We have also been able to save money because we aren’t traveling, eating out, and doing all the things we are missing. Think we are going to need the savings after things get back to normal. 3 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Playman64 205 Posted January 14, 2021 Yes I miss house parties, but they are so much better than clubs. This covid is incredibly depressing. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
enhancer 1,585 Posted January 14, 2021 Honestly what we miss most is being able to spend time with family! Not being able to do the swing thing is really not that big of a deal to us. We have been more then content having play fun with each other. It never gets old to us. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,066 Posted January 14, 2021 I miss seeing friends, both clothed and unclothed. I miss being able to just go out and get a haircut or quickly run to the store. I miss everyone getting along. I miss the old world and fear that it will never return. 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
hunterdonNJcpl 1,392 Posted January 15, 2021 Agreed first and foremost we miss the simple things. Getting together with friends and family. But from a swinging perspective: we were real active pre-kids, much less so while raising them, sent our youngest to college in Sept. 2019, didn't do much for the rest of that year, then made New Years resolutions to get back into the "swing of things". We had a good start in 2020 then BAM. The pandemic hit, the kids came home... So we missed all the stuff we said we would do: lifestyle clubs, resorts, houseparties and private parties. We were fortunate to connect with a single male (old LS friend) over the summer and we managed a couple playdates just the 3 of us, but we were really hoping to relive some of what we experienced 20 long years ago! So our big return to the Lifestyle wound up being a handful of threesomes at home lol! But we know it could be worse! 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,880 Posted January 16, 2021 We play vanilla games on Zoom on Saturday nights with 5-7 couples who we used to meet at house parties. I assume a real life reunion party is in the cards after we are all vaccinated. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
NWAtlSwing 522 Posted January 16, 2021 We live in Georgia, so fortunately, we have not missed out on simple going out to dinner or lunch with each other at least. We have even managed to pull off two meet and greets with people from online, so things are not totally at a stand still. She is hoping to go up to see her parents, whom she has not been able to see for over a year now. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Playman64 205 Posted January 16, 2021 I missed house parties and group fun even before covid hit, but covid really put a stop to everything. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

cplnuswing 4,713 Posted January 17, 2021 Ok, this thread is back, but it has been stripped of everything that was causing dissension. Something that I think bears mentioning, throughout the site but especially on this thread. I think it is only polite and shows respectful to other members of the community, but especially someone who took the time to start a topic for discussion like NWAtlSwing did here, for that thread to stay on topic. NWAtlSwing asked a great question - What do you miss in these swinging times we find ourselves in? I think it will best serve our community If we keep the discussion to that, and not as a springboard into anything else. Thanks for understanding. 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
