njbm 2,871 Posted March 12, 2021 Will you inquire if your playmate(s) has been vaccinated? Quote Share this post Link to post
TricianMike 772 Posted March 12, 2021 Vaccinated playmates don’t protect you. Once vaccinated you can still pass on the virus. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,871 Posted March 13, 2021 If all four of two couples are two weeks post vax, I presume that there is an unlikely chance that playing would lead to hospitalization or death. That is what I extract from my reading and viewing. Open to correction. Not meant to give medical advice, not my field. Waiting for Dr. Fauci’s advice on swinging. 2 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
udsarge 119 Posted March 13, 2021 CDC says small maskless gatherings are allowed if all participants are vaccinated, but recommends maintaining mask use in public settings, even if you are vaccinated. So swinging with another couple at home sounds OK, but sex at a club setting is still cautioned against. ( That's if you are working off of the implied guidelines. I don't know that the CDC would ever come out and say explicitly "It is now OK to boink with your neighbors." ) 2 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Billygoat 443 Posted March 13, 2021 Yes, but dramatically scaled back. In our club/group organized parties vanished over the past year. However, sub groups of a few, threesomes up to 6-8 have continued. A tight circle of friends meeting privately. Not all but those that have long term history. We had two single ladies that we stayed in connection with both socially and intimately. One has moved on (met a new guy/boyfriend) and the other lady (longer distance away) spends a weekend per month with us. Our club group has split up into mini pods of couples and singles for fun. Not one has experienced any out breaks. Largely due to keeping their circle small and following protocols within their circle. We have a get together this morning with another couple for a few hours of play. We have been close with them for a few years. the last weekend in March we have a mini party with four couples and our single lady friend. Day time play.....circle of trusted intimate friends. our club party (two separate/different groups/hosts) will have its first party in a year in April. The second group most likely will follow the end of April. the core group of friends still meet in small separate gatherings socially and intimately as time allowed. basic precautions have allowed some safe contact and interaction. common sense prevails. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

NWAtlSwing 522 Posted March 13, 2021 Yes, already have without. We play with people not vaccinated to the flu either. Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,871 Posted March 13, 2021 Very little flu this year, probably due to covid precautions. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,871 Posted March 13, 2021 We are getting invites from vaccinated friends. We only have one of four vaccines, my wife too young and healthy, not eligible yet. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
J&Wu 408 Posted March 14, 2021 Wu and I are fully vaccinated but!!! The jury is still out on the variants, darned virus wants to survive and reproduce! 2 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Billygoat 443 Posted March 14, 2021 20 hours ago, njbm said: Any in your group(s) vaccinated? As a follow up.......only a few in our immediate circle of intimate friends. And a few in our vanilla friends and riding group. some are in the medical field, many are vets but only a few have qualified for shots. Fewer still are of an age or health that qualified them. If I were to guess maybe 5%-10% have been vaccinated. It really is just a matter of simple precautions and living in a smaller more rural state. I also believe that exposing yourself in large venues of crowded closed in gatherings (bars etc) increases your chances of contact. In our closed circle we are all past the need to socialize in a bar setting. many musicians in our groups so we have had controlled private setting gatherings for music enjoyment a few times in the pst year. All open gigs have been cancelled. so again....common sense applies. and our meet yesterday from 11Am to 3pm was fantastic. Arranged MFM for our friends girlfriend went very well....lots of laughs and concentrated attention for her. Her first enjoyable and fun MFM. She felt safe and relaxed......and said she looks forward to more. Previous attempts went south as the guys they picked always made it about them and in 15-20 minutes it was over. guess we older men have a place in the lifestyle after all...... 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Anon321 522 Posted March 15, 2021 We already have... well my GF has. We haven't been to a club or bar or anything with a lot of people so it has all been one guy here and there that we know. My GF has also gone back to work a couple days a week and is back to fucking her boss again. Other than when his dick is in her mouth they wear masks though. Safety first! PSULioness 847 Posted March 27, 2021 We just found out that our closest friend has tested positive for antibodies SARS-Cov-2 meaning he might have been exposed to Covid-19. He said he did have a cold some time ago with no fever. We have been with him many times since the pandemic started. We have been with and another friend on a pretty consistent basis, none of us have any major symptom of the virus. We all had been going for Covid testing in the height of the pandemic with consistent negative results. We are now going for antibody tests too as we feel we would have to have been exposed if he was. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

A positive antibody test to COVID can include those COVID viruses that cause common colds and don't necessarily mean that the person had SARS-CoV-2 unless that was documented with a virus SARS-CoV-2 test when infected. And then there are the old false positive/negative results in the mix. Good to hear everyone is feeling well but cautious. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

We both received our Positive results for the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid 19) DiaSorin Ab IGG The results do say there are false positives possible due to other past human coronavirus infections which infrequently occur. Being we both tested Positive I’m not sure of the odds we both got false positives. We have plans with out of town friends that both have been vaccinated to visit us this week. They want to see NYC and have waited for this week but knowing we weren’t vaccinated they were unsure if they should stay with us. She was one of the first friends I played with and it’s been a long time since we have seen them. 3 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Unfortunately too many people near us are not getting vaccination and the numbers in NJ are still rising and are the some of the highest in the country. Warm weather is coming and I want to get back to doing normal things like getting back to Gunnisons Beach. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post

njbm 2,871 Posted March 29, 2021 My wife is scheduled for April 7 and May 7. I was vaccinated on Feb 16 and March 16, so my two weeks after vax is approaching. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
