Sneezing and Sex

This sounds odd to me. 
My wife and I have an open relationship and for many years we never discussed what happens with others. We are much more open now and have met couples together and continue to have our own trysts. She enjoys meeting new partners and stays away from long term partners. 
She met a new married friend and has met him three times. According to her he is married and sex has stopped in his marriage, a common story she hears. She told me he is very nice and fun in bed. I always wonder what that means. She said the first time after they finished, or he finished, he started sneezing. She said she didn’t think anything of it. They go at it again and again he starts sneezing after. One more time and again sneezing. 
Meets him a second time, he sneezes after every time. Meets him again and each time he has sneezing fits after every pop. 
 

Does anyone know what causes it? I read that orgasm and sneezing are both from the same pleasure zone in the brain. Have not read there is a cause and effect.

I recall seeing some documentary style show that covered that, but don't remember the details other than it's a relatively rare wiring in the brain.  Wiki says that decongestants may prevent it?

Not sneezing, but I have noticed something.

I have hay fever accompanied by congestion.

 

There is most definitely a post coital mucosal response. My sinuses clear right up.

I have been told that other experience the same effect when congested for other reasons.

Given the other mucus/sex related things like vaginal secretions it does not seem improbable.

Like lcmim, I too have hay fever and congestion.  There's ups and downs, but about 9 months out of the year it affects me to some degree.  I've not noticed any relief during sex unfortunately   Wish that were the case though, that would be a two-fer!

 

Midwesthoney's theory about allergic to the wife may be right. Not necessarily her, but her perfume, the soap she uses, or something like that. 

 

I have this strange thing that happens during the height of allergy season. If I've been outside a lot that day, when I get in the shower I often start sneezing. Even if I have dosed up on allergy med and haven't really sneezed much or at all while outside.  I asked my ENT doc about it one time, and his theory was a reaction to the shampoo or soap.  Not sure I buy that since same shampoo and soap I have used every day for years. My theory is when you first get in the shower, and you've got a heavy pollen load on you, the force of the water gets the pollen in your hair, body, etc. moving and floating around and so you get a big dose of it, and a-choo!  Maybe something similar happening here?  Frolicking around on the bed gets something, from their bodies or the bed linens, up and floating around and then the sneezing starts?

I Googled it, it may not be that rare. It’s not allergies, it only happens when he cums, if it were allergies he would sneeze all the time. She said he doesn’t sneeze during sex, even when he’s down on her, he only sneezes after he orgasms, even orally.

Sneezing after orgasm is a real thing with some men. We were with a man who did this every time he ejaculated. The first time the sneezing scared me as I thought he was going to have a heart attack, he couldn’t catch his breath at first and the sneezing went on for over a minute. His wife said this now happens all the time and it started as he got older.

I sneeze sometimes when I get aroused. It's usually tied to certain thoughts... just one of those things. My wife gives me funny looks, because I'm pretty sure she knows what I'm thinking.
