Something to remember is that many people on this site are not swingers or are very new to the lifestyle as you are so it tends to keep these numbers low.

Whew, thanks for explaining that. It would be nice to see some numbers on the higher end, so I'll throw mine out there. Mine is a guess, I'd say about 170 prior to swinging and around 200 now I guess.

Yes, I'm a Samantha and I love to fuck. I think Samantha's numbers are much higher though. I was active duty military and I moved around a lot, plus the guys I met where often moving around a lot too. It was hard to find someone to have a relationship with that was going to be around long enough to get serious with. I also had a lot of opportunities living in areas where the ratio of men to women was very much in my favor. Many of my former military partners had some higher numbers too. The highest I ever heard was a former FB whose number was about 345. He was in his early 30s at the time.

MrGPH says he doesn't keep track of how many, but I think his numbers are slightly higher than mine.

Impressive to all :) I can count mine on one hand.

So can I, but I have to use those little pinkies more that once, each! :)

Five years ago I could count them on one hand; now I do not have enough fingers or toes, but it's north of 60 for me and 40 or less for Bob, at least that's his story and he's sticking to it.

In totals, I had 12, my ex-wife had 22 by the time we split (not counting whatever she was doing with women in college), and my current wife says somewhere around 60.

Being a very late bloomer, and terminally shy, I have only had the pleasure of being with 11 women, but other than my first wife, my other ex's have been with many more guys. I really appreciate their experiences and never minded hearing about them too, if they shared.

I just regret not "getting in the game" much earlier.

As one of my ex's had on a T-Shirt: "So Many Men, So Little Time!"

Well, we haven't engaged sex with anyone else yet so my hubby is only the 3rd person that I have had intercourse with we've been married for almost 11 years. I guess I'm probably known as a "virgin" in the swinging world LOL.

A while back a lady asked me how many partners I had had over the years. I told her that I did not have any idea and was not a bed post notcher. She said that she thought that she had had over 200 partners and then asked me how many partners I had been with. After thinking for a bit I came up with the rough figure of 125.

Now the question for you. How many partners have you been with?

I am a complete slut, I had been with well over 100 partners by the time I stopped counting about 20 years ago.

How in the world do you guys keep track into the three digits? I'm having problems with my measly two digit number!

Not me, I kept a journal.

Well, that's beautifully organized. I don't and I'm not sure if it's because I don't want to leave any evidence behind or it's related to my reluctance to take photographs on vacation (I'd rather have memories than reminders). ;)

I can only estimate, because I lost track long ago, but something over 100 women and about half again that many men.

Too early in the morning to go through the mental list but 30 some. Many of those though have been numerous repeats over the years. I've been dealing some serious medical issues the past 2.5 years which has kept me playing with existing partners but not always actively seeking out new ones.

Two - we only track month by month :D

Somewhere in the thirties for me, MD may be in the fifties. She says it's not a race...but if it was I would be the loser! I'm like it depends on who we ask - our trampy friends or our family.

What makes it "count" ?

I have had thirty-something penises enter my vagina over the course of my entire sex life; but if you count oral sex and other forms of body-fluid-exchange-culminating-at-or-approaching-orgasm-for-one-or-more-participants, the number is easily twice that, at least.

Lord Lord.. between the groupies back in the touring days, and the non countable ladies from my swing club, then there was two topless clubs I had.... it's gotta be way higher than I'd believe. No doubt it's over 1000. there was 100 or more in just the last two years.

I'm very low on the list of number of women I have had sex with. Thousands of times with my wife. About 10 with our swinger friends, twice with another friend. All bareback. Then about three with ladies at swinger parties, all with condoms. Not a very exciting list.

My wife has less to report. Bareback encounters with our swinger friend, just a few more than me. Once with a friend years ago. I cum inside his wife but he used a condom. About one year ago we reunited and she let him enjoy bareback and he cum inside her.

Sounds like we have a lot of catching up to do.

I am certain that my number is more than a hundred. I did the horizontal mambo last week at a New Year's Eve party. I mentioned to my female partner that I relish any opportunity to enjoy sex with someone for the first time. She got a quizzical look on her face and said, "what are you talking about? You and I did this last year." Maybe I've done a few too many.

When we started, we figured I'd had intercourse with 19 women and she'd had intercourse with 7 men - counting each other. If you count oral, 24 and 10.

Now we're at maybe 23/13 and 30/20.

I feel like maybe I'm adding something up wrong but it's close. It's slow-going but she's gaining on me.

I have only been with three men my entire life, but with two of them now (my lover for seven years, my husband for 5). Hubby has had seven women, me plus three others since we've been an item.

Since this post has been bumped, there is a need for me to update my number in the last 14 years: it has gone from three to FIVE!  The three men that I have going now plus my Lesbian relationships with Clair and Lora are enough.

I don’t count because it doesn’t matter. I never asked my wife how many people she had sex with when we met 24 years ago, nor did she ask me because it didn’t matter.  The only real answer I can give is more than before we got married.

My first one was with a prostitute that we picked up in the park and 5 of us team up to take turn on her bareback, creampie her cunt and I was the last to get my first time 2nd sloppy,I was grossed out cause of my buddies sperm smell but felt fantastic once my cock went in that full of cum pussy gave cum instantly. The next was my Ex,we met in high school and due to pregnancy concern she chooses to gave me bareback oral sex for 4 years until she graduated.Lastly my current wife who I still married until now.

I have had sex with 12 different people. My wife on the other hand though the last time we tried to figure out how many guys she has had vaginal or anal sex with is well over 200. We aren’t aware of a exact number because in college and the first couple years after and before we were married she was known for getting drunk and fucking whatever guy was at the bar that night and obviously she can’t remember them all. We worked together before we were married, and I would always hear stories about her fucking some guy in the bathroom of the bar from other females she was out with. So if I had to guess I would say it’s prolly over 300.

Explain to me what difference it would make in how you would approach these three women, all the same age now and all started fucking at the same age.  Woman 1: got married as a virgin and has had sex every which way only with her husband 10,000 times. Woman 2: serially monogamous and has had sex a total of 1,000 times, but with 50 different men.  Woman 3: had sex with only two men and a total of only 1,000 times, but many times it was MFM with both of them.

Currently we women do have an outside boyfriend who we share because there are three of us and only two guys in our family.  Does that count?  We are open to us playing with others and have in the past, but we are cautious (and busy).

Haven’t you posted you only play with those in your poly family. Believe you said you have only been with three men yet you post on every topic as you are the queen of swinging. When do you find the time to be an expert on swinging?

I’ve had sex with five different men in my life, three currently, but I’ve had those three men ejaculate bareback in me this week, and I’ve licked and been licked by two different women to orgasm as well.

There are people here who are only wannabees, and even many “real" swingers only play several times a month.  I at least get some sexual variety pretty much daily.

Swinging , like Polyamory is a term that has been diluted in meaning almost to the point of irrelevance.

Couplers, is a best fit with the historical meaning of Polyamory, which at a minimum implied a stable relationship with more than two persons involved. ( Now it CAN be as little as a life revolving around one night stands, in the eyes of some)

Swinging likewise WAS a lifestyle originally  involving couple/couple exchanges or threesomes with two of the people in a married relationship. Everything else was just single people hooking up or cheating.

This forum accepts more current views on each f these under the term Nonmonogamy or LS . (Remember co-opting that from our gay brothers and sisters?)

These more encompassing applications are a classic example of a larger umbrella making for less precision.

We sometimes toss terms around without bothering to pay attention to what they mean.

For instance "soft swap". While there seems to be a consensus that it does not allow for intercourse, there is less clarity on just what it does encompass.

There is a pretty broad spectrum. It extends from just watching another couple pet, to orgasms, for all, by all, involving whips and ropes. Just no intercourse.

In this light, worrying about whether or not couplers is a "REAL" swinger is irrelevant.

Her observations regarding jealousy, possessiveness, transparency, honesty  along with the complexities and possibilities of multiple adult pairings, does add some color and dimension to this discussion.

A couple of years back I reported very few encounters. We've been swinging for almost 6 years so we've added a few to the list. I now have seven girls on my list.  I just added anew girl last Friday and I'm looking forward to more sex with her. The most satisfying swinging sex I have had was on a Hall Pass, 4 times with the same girl. My low number of partners is possibly due to having played with one girls over 50 times.

My wife has played over 50 times with the same guy and can count about five in total.

Thanks for sharing.  It's reassuring for me to have others with a low-number approach to the non-monogamous lifestyle posting.

Initially, we used to keep count not only of couples or singles with that we had sex but of specifics, for example, how many cocks I had sucked, how many loads I swallowed, how many cocks I fucked, and how many girl-girl encounters, etc.; later on, we started going to parties and clubs, and after more than ten years we have no idea what is "our body count", we estimate it to be easily over hundred, me being BI and therefore leading for a significant margin.

As of today, the only two specific counts we have a clear recollection of are the number of guys (not including my husband) that I have had condomless sex with and that have ejaculated inside me: 2, and the number of guys that I have had anal sex with 8.

I think no. 3 with mfm has more weight to compute for one's slut GPA 🙂

My ex-wife and I were in the lifestyle for several years, and then unfortunately found out she had been cheating (several times in college, and two separate affairs during our marriage) during our entire 10-year relationship, even while we were swingers (but never with other swingers). Took me a long time to reflect on what happened, how I may have contributed, questioned swinging, etc. It took me some time and many of my friends to help me realize she had a LOT of issues, and still does.

I was concerned there could be the possibility my ex-wife would try to accuse me of something false related to our swinging (I made her do it, etc.) that would eventually reveal my past to my new wife. Honestly, I approached the lifestyle with my ex-wife as a gift to her - it was all for her, not myself; I learned a lot about myself, and thought we had completely open, honest, and loving communication, never pushing each other to do something and always respecting our decisions made together as a couple, and truly thought it was improving our marriage. I give you that backstory to tell you my current story…

I’m remarried to an incredible woman, and could go on for days how amazing and stunning she truly is…we’re both devout Christians and attend church regularly. A few months before I proposed (she knew it was coming, ring picked out, etc.), I made it a point to be completely honest with her and tell her about my past in the lifestyle with my ex-wife, no details, just the blunt fact. I’m honest to a fault and deeply believe I owed my now wife the entire truth, especially in case my ex- decided to falsely accuse me of something related to our lifestyle involvement.

She didn’t take it very well, she was very disgusted and felt taken advantage of, etc., and I actually thought at one point she wouldn’t accept my proposal. It took a little while, but we finally worked through it, but not after some very specific questions she had about it all…which I tried very hard to still vaguely side-step (going into steamy sex details about an ex- with your current girlfriend isn’t exactly wise course of action).

My current wife is more reserved and conservative in her beliefs, but popular and stylish, and not at all a prude. She immediately denounced swinging and asked if I wanted her to do the same, pictured me doing all these gross orgies with ugly people, etc…typical mainstream misconceptions and misunderstandings of what the lifestyle really is…and I explained it to her. She’s not the most confident woman in bed, part of her reserved side, but I’ve been trying to get her out of her sexual shyness shell so to speak for a while.

But for the past couple years, year of engagement and year of marriage, our sex frequency has gone down considerably, almost seems like she’s disinterested. I have to initiate sex all the time, she never does oral (giving or receiving) or any other foreplay, and she makes it seem like a task to get done and over with most of the time. [side note, she’s performed oral on me once, while she was on her period because she felt obligated, which I stopped her and told her she didn’t have to just because of that and felt she HAD to please me, I’m a gentleman, and not selfish. She took it as I didn’t like how she was doing it, so she claims to this day…]

It worries me, and I’ve brought up my frustrations a couple times and she actually listened, but nothing really has changed, she hasn’t opened up and communicated or appear to feel more comfortable during sex. There have been extremely brief glimpses of hope at times though (before I discussed my frustration)… like when I was trying to skirt details of explaining the lifestyle, I did ask her about her sexual history and if she had ever had a one night stand before, which she did admit to me she’s had one (so at least one, maybe more, which was a encouraging in my opinion) and I was merely relating the similarity to swinging that sex can be for fun and just for sex and to help her see that her desires are not so far off from a swinging couples, it’s along the same lines and even better if you consider the open communication.

Another occasion, she initiated and for once acted like a sex goddess one night we stayed at a friend's house after drinks, wouldn’t let me get up without fucking her, she was vocal, passionate, wild, it was incredible…but she did have some drinks in her. Another - she tried to get me to have sex in a public bathroom when we were out with a bunch of friends once (work friends mind you), which I wasn’t really into and said no…which she got upset and accused me of swinging but I wouldn’t do that with her…caught me off guard a little and made me wonder her real intent for wanting to in the first place, testing me or truly acting on exhibitionism impulse.

With these examples, I’d like to think there’s a sexually free woman in there somewhere, at least I hope, she just doesn’t communicate about this kind of stuff very well, and I really hope her knowledge of my past doesn’t make her feel more inadequate or insecure in bed. If anything, I had hoped it would open her up to feel more comfortable in expressing her desires and sexual prowess with me, but it has definitely not.

I am not trying to get her to be a swinger, and won’t ever bring that up, ever, but I do want to have that same open communication and comfort sexually with just her that I learned from the lifestyle, complete and respectful open honest dialogue about what we both want, like, dislike, etc. I do want her to feel desire and comfort initiating sex on her own more confidently. I just don’t know where to start or how to approach…which is why I’m here, asking some old lifestyle friends for any sage advice or ideas that maybe I’m not thinking of or haven’t tried yet.

We met with a couple at a club that we had been chatting with and we clicked and decided to play. When it came down to the protection part, I guess we hadn't chatted about it before then, but we found out that they normally don't use it. Of course they agreed to with us. No protection is a deal breaker for us. What I'm now wondering is if you wouldn't play with someone who doesn't use protection all the time?
    • By km34
Last Thursday I went to a local club. I'd been there before with my husband, but this time I went with, well, I honestly don't know what to call him. Friend-ish person is usually how I refer to him.

So, Friend-ish and I go to the club. It's a great night to be there, enough people to make it fun without it being crazy crowded. Very nice. We're hanging out in the hot tub (one of the main reasons we decided to go) and a bunch of people assume we're "together" until I start talking about hubby or he starts talking about his live-in partner or my boyfriend comes up in conversation. Then we get the look. The confused, "I'm not entirely sure what's going on here" look. So we explain we're poly, that we are somewhere in between being friends and being in a relationship, touch briefly on how our relationships work, and say life is great. One of two things seemed to happen. Either people were very much okay with this concept and it made perfect sense OR they were completely confused/not feeling it and felt the need to wander away. Almost immediately.

Where I live, poly is VERY common. Open relationships in general are practically considered "normal" (at least in my age bracket, 20s-30s). Because of this, I wasn't expecting much discomfort/confusion when poly came up. HOWEVER, I still felt uncomfortable just bringing it up out of nowhere! Part of me felt like it wasn't pertinent (I mean, really - I wasn't even there to play so why do people need to know?) but another part of me thinks that this is part of who I am and I should LEARN to be comfortable talking about it, regardless of my intent when conversing with people.

I guess I just wanted to ramble on about this for a while, and ask a very simple question.

Is it pertinent? When you're talking to someone at a swing club (or party or whatever), would you want/need to know if they are with their ONLY partner or just one of a few? If yes, why is that information important? Do other poly folks make it clear when they are meeting potential playmates?

Virginity....I know for me I sort of have to scratch my head and try to remember what virginity was....

Where did you lose your virginity? (no need to mention age here)

I lost mine in the back seat of a '66 Rambler Classic to my boyfriend at the time, soon to become the father of my children.

We parked that baby (and she was a beauty) on a back dusty road right above a dirt covered mound, beneath the stars, no trees, no brush, no grass. It was really cold outstide so we left the motor running in order to have heat. We were one with the earth in the middle of nowhere.....so we thought...

Right in the middle of when things were getting really heated, and I mean REALLY heated, there was a rap on the car window (shoulda been a sign right then and there). The county Sheriff was tapping with his flashlight on our rear window. He had been called out to investigate the noise on top of the complaintants home. We were atop the first underground home built in our area!

Back then they didn't arrest you for these kind of things, they just insured you left the area. And leave we did! We found another spot a county over in a state park and there I lost it.

Geesh what fond memories I have of that night....of the Rambler that is...

So where did you lose yours?

People sharing what questions they ask about potential playmates and sexual history has led to some very interesting thoughts and discussions. The one I found most interesting was the idea of "wild" people are not safe. Which of course led to the discussion of what constitutes being "wild". How many partners does it take for you to decide ok this person just has had too many partners for me to feel safe with them.

Are there other issues that constitute wild? At what point do you feel that you just can't trust your sexual health in the "hands" of this person or people?
