Just curious what others do

I don't like the term "disturb" in this situation.  I would prefer "join them."

 

But then my play style is for all 4 (or 6 or 8) be interactive with each other.

Me and my swing partner would exit to another room to let them have some privacy to get things done. Unless they invite us to stay and join in.

I used the term disturb there deliberately as many would choose join them

but join them is a term where again its your will being full filled  again as without the other person is not given a choice as he or she can’t say No practically.

Depends on the situation, I try to be sensitive to the others needs and desires, but I'm a joiner by nature.  If I can be helpful, I pitch in.  It seems that us women are more like that compared to the guys, who need recovery time.

Yeah, kind of presumptive and maybe revealing about OP's concerns in asking?

 

Once or twice Mrs. E has played "look but don't touch" when we pick up a third, but she communicates that clearly in advance.
