In lots of formal pictures, they are on the inside and cannot be taken off that easily.

I think the visual is nicer panties underneath with minimal front and back coverage.  Can retrofit a hook release on g-string sides for easy removal without disconnecting garters or buy them quick release. For me, the best visual is no panties😘
