I think it was her choice to publicize it. Credit for bravery. Maybe it is a more acceptable choice in her age group. We are older, so maybe we are out of touch with what is broadly acceptable. A friend of mine used to say some people are with it, some people are without it.

There are two aspects to this revelation. First, it's distressing that anyone has to feel that their preferences need to be fodder for magazine articles. Second, when celebrities publicly acknowledge and embrace alternate lifestyles that are based on love and respect, everyone benefits. Regardless of her agenda and rationale for granting the interview to Vanity Fair, and regardless of Vanity Fair's rationale for publishing the piece, we all benefit when such life styles can be openly discussed. Sexuality is so foundational to human life that we should hope such conversation becomes not only mainstream but ordinary. One hopes that Mr. Giuliani is proud of his daughter not only for who she is, but also for her courage in openly acknowledging her preferences.

Kasidie and SLS both have validations. The first person we ever validated on SLS (back when we were on that site) never validated us in return. He had like 10 validations and we had none so we were like "wtf!" But then we figured it doesn't really matter. Despite what you see on some profiles, swinging isn't a game where the ones with the most validations wins. It is actually better to not play the validations game at all. It's honestly nobody's business who you've been in bed with.

We are matched up with others, not the man who watches. Sometimes guys, sometimes girls, sometimes she was matched up couples.
