A man came over to be a third for a couple. Pretty funny. The writer must have some personal experience with this topic.

Interesting perspective here, a Huffington Post story of a monogamous lesbian goes by herself to a swingers resort. It's a good article, what she describes experiencing will sound very familiar.

Sometimes a swingers party just isn't worth the 80 mile round trip in traffic. Especially on a damn weeknight. Local Swingers Not Going To Drive Out To Goddamn Oakdale - The Onion - America's Finest News Source SHOREWOOD, MN—Citing both having to work early the next morning and several other inconveniences presented by a recent party invitation, local swingers Doug and Tiffany Finsky told reporters Wednesday that there is no way they are driving all the way out to goddamn Oakdale. According to the sexually adventurous couple, traveling to the event that their friends Linda and Joe Tremaine are hosting in the Minneapolis suburb over an hour’s drive from the Finskys’ home would likely not be worth the hassle, with the pair stating they would probably end up spending more time sitting in the car than they would at the party.

A frequent complaint in this section — and one that is justified — is that when the mainstream press covers lifestyle matters it’s either to titillate the reader/viewer or shame the subjects of the coverage. Or very often both. Here’s one that is neither. The entire New York Times Sunday Magazine this weekend is devoted to, as the headline to this post says, love and sexuality as it plays out over the course of a day in New York City. One of the many vignettes is from a sex party in Manhattan. It’s only a single photograph and a hundred words or so. But it’s completely non-judgemental and definitely not written to titilate. The term “lifestyle” is never used, but I think it represents how most of us here would like for it to be understood, as the expression of one aspect of the broad subject that is human sexuality. The Times has a paywall, but you get several articles a month for free. I recommend you spend one of those freebies reading not just about the sex party — which is just a small part — but the entire contents of the magazine. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/06/07/magazine/new-york-love-city.html

I have permission from the author to post a link to his article. He's not a member of this website. The 'cracked dot com' website is the latest incarnation of the old Cracked Magazine -- a "Mad Magazine" copycat from a few years back. So, just FYI. Here it is. A really good article on swinging in south Florida. It touches on swinging's history, a look inside a low key and long running club, and a general review of the rest of the clubs in the area, including who each club caters to. Swinging through South Florida's underground sex clubs. The owner of Club Hedonism is a large Italian man in his 60s named Franco Monte. He can be found striding through his club with purpose, wearing black slacks, a black shirt, and a thick gold chain. His employees are diligent, because they know he's a perfectionist and they dare not upset him. Every inch of the club must be spotless. Every employee must embody a delicate blend of attentiveness and discretion. He says he wants people to think of his place as "the swingers' club where everybody knows your name." Like Cheers — but where the characters have sex with one another. And yet, Monte says, "It's about much more than the sex. People can have a few drinks and dance a little bit and get to know each other." Key to the experience, Monte says, is the anticipation of having sex. "A pleasure of the mind," he calls it.

Swinging Is Back, But Is It Right For You? Times have certainly changed since the 60s Sexual Revolution! What was once extremely taboo and only took place behind closed doors now has a website, and researchers are noticing a shift towards younger generations. Hey everyone, we have our own website now! It doesn't go on to mention THE swinger website, but I sure hope it's this one It's actually a fairly good article compared to most. The comments, always the most entertaining part, are more live and let live than usual, which along with claiming to actually have a good friend, etc. who happily swings, is a trend I have been noticing over the last few years.

Here's the link: Sex Parties - Where Everyday People Indulge in Their Wildest Fantasies So I read this article and was kinda flabbergasted. It had that whole 'enter if you dare' vibe that you continuously get from the media when it comes to a group sex party. First off the article isn't really for 'Everyday Couples', it was for gay men. Kinda like ... here Mr and Mrs normal America this is what those gay men do?? WTF?? The second party wasn't a party more like a porn movie theater?? WTF!!! The liberal side of media still gives us a bum wrap, and you can forget about the conservative side. Am I the only one seeing this? Are others? Are there articles that accurately describe the lifestyle?

This relationship expert talks about swingers/polys/etc. desperately trying to "sell" their brand of marriage to validate a lifestyle they know in their innermost soul...is just wrong. You can read all about it in section 2 of her book, Dr. Karen's Marriage Manual. Signed copies are available if you purchase directly through her website. HOLD me back, people. I've got a whopper of a post on stand-by and I'm going to sleep on it before unleashing hell. Holy shit. I just checked the word count. Gonna have to pare that down a little... Swingers’ club ideal science lab: researcher | Posted | National Post Over two nights, the University of Ottawa nursing professor observed mostly affluent, 40-something couples mingle in the lounge area of a local swingers’ club, then migrate to upstairs rooms. Dispassionately recording “field notes” on the action, Prof. O’Byrne espied swingers who practised vaginal, anal and oral sex, and tried to gauge how often his research subjects used a condom.
