My wife and I have been to Vegas twice before and absolutely love it!!! I am 26 and she is 24. Both times we have stayed there we just have a blast seeing a show or two and playing on the slot machines. This time we are looking to go to a few clubs possibly. I've bought her quite a few sexy dresses and heels over the years which she doesn't ever really wear, more of a jeans and converse type girl. We are going to be packing them for this trip in July though. What could I wear when I go out with her? I have one suit but I feel that it would be too much.

Women have tons of sexy stuff to wear from R to XXX rated, but the selection for men is smaller. Mostly the offerings are various styles of briefs. Ladies, do you find this hot? What do you enjoy your play partners wearing? I'm looking for ideas that have not occurred to me or my partner. Not all of us are built like the models in the ads.

Been out of the loop for a bit and finally back in... attended my first big event in several years. The one thing that really struck me was the complete imbalance in presentation between males vs females. 90%+ of the females dressed to impress (even if they didn't dress to theme - which, of course, most did - it was Naughty Schoolgirl night), yet less than 10% of the men bothered to even dress nice (not even talking about dressing to theme, but just not in shorts and a tank top). My theory (please feel free to dispel it) is that most of those couples were there just for the girls to play and thus the guys did not feel any need to impress. About half of the guys who did bother to dress nice were single guys and actually made the statement to me that "I'm single I know I have to do more to stand out" (well played). As a woman who is there to play with guys (as much, if not more than, to play with women) it irks me that guys don't make an effort. It's a huge turn-off to see guys looking like they aren't doing anything more than running errands on a Saturday afternoon. I'd love to get ya'lls thoughts on this dichotomy, and find out if other women are seeing the same thing.

We'll be attending our first swinger event in the near future. Now the first time we go, we'll have no expectations, other than the hope someone opens up and talks to us and/or accepts us talking to them just to socialize (maybe more). Now on a daily basis, I wear Joe Boxer thongs. I've been wearing them for 10-15 years. I LOVE them! No wedgies/bunching, holds me firmly in place so my head doesn't get irritated, etc. Anyway, I've read that men wearing thongs at swinger events can be a little odd if a 6-pack and cherry tomato ass cheeks don't accompany the thong. But what is reality when it comes to clothes in the first place. Do people walk around fully clothed or naked...or is there some use in wearing undies? What is generally the most attractive...boxers, boxer briefs, etc.? Thanks!

It’s a truism in the LS that the women commonly out-dress the men. There are some excellent basic posts here that have stood the test of time, but, a couple of additional points. If it’s a theme night, and the gentleman takes the time to join his lady dressing in theme, others notice. Couples that are thoughtful and creative enough to dress in theme together have already shown the world that they are in sync with each other and support each other. Yes, if it’s a theme night, we’ll work to complement—and compliment—each other. If we’re just “dressing to impress”, textures, fabrics, and layers matter. It’s not just how they drape. It’s that a potential playmate is going to feel what you are wearing. Whether it’s a hug, a touch on the arm or thigh, or those initial moments of intimacy as the clothes come off, clothes will be seen and felt. Not only do gauze, silk, cashmere, and leather look different—they feel different. Ladies notice these things. Any gentleman who has accompanied his lady while shopping for clothes knows just how much she responds to how fabrics feel. Invite your lady to pick out your outfit to complement hers. Better yet, invite her to shop together. She know what looks good on you as well as—and likely better—than you do. Putting the outfits together with her is an expression of affection. It’s important to her that she have a “sharp-dressed man” on her arm. After all, you’re the one she’s going home with at the end of the evening.

Hello, I'm trying to get opinions on shoes to wear to a swing club. The club has a nice dance floor. I wear button down shirts with nice blue jeans. The shirts are club looking shirts. I need a pair of nice shoes. They need to be leather soles for sliding on the dance floor. Unfortunately, I'm finding most all are rubber soles. Any suggestions on what shoes would look great with what I'm wearing would be great. I won't change what I'm wearing as far as clothes as this arrangement suits me best. Thanks everyone!

So we had a new tenant in one of our apartments and I was over there fixing stuff up. She was just kinda lingering around. I made small talk with her, but it was a little odd. So when I came home to tell the wife, she proceeded with, 'Oh, it's hot when guys fix stuff' which she has told me before. She then went on, 'Property Brother's is like soft porn, especially with the tool belt'. She then went on with a rather detailed description. Wait tool belt? I haven't worn a tool belt in years, just cause I got sick of wearing them on the job. Now I don't need to I don't. But hey soft porn, really?? So needless to say I am wearing a tool belt to fix any little thing around the house. Since 'Property Brothers' is a rather successful T.V. show I am guessing my wife isn't the only one. Anybody else?

We were just at an on-premises club this weekend where a man was walking around in and playing in a thong. We heard a few people commenting on how that may have been unseemly for club wear or etiquette. Should guys be au natural under their pants or is a man wearing sexy at risk of ridicule, etc.

We have been invited to our first party, which rattles our nerves a bit. It's an organized event that starts with a meet-and-greet in a hotel lobby followed by everyone being escorted to the large hotel suite where the action will be taking place and only underwear (at the most) is allowed after 11 p.m. It's a Halloween-themed party, and we're scratching our heads to find a suitable outfit for him. Of course, it comes off about an hour or two into the event, but it should still be sexy enough to garner interest while still being appropriate in a hotel lobby/bar. There are lots of sexy outfits for women, but as usual, the options for men are limited... (It's the same as when we were trying to figure out "sexy underwear for a club", a man seems limited to tight boxers while women have tons of options.) What clothed Halloween costume makes a man look sexy? Any advice? Would appreciate any ideas.

Greetings All-- My wife and I will be attending in the next month or so our first hotel party (which seems to be different than a simple "meet and greet" which we have tried). Perhaps a silly question-- what should I as a guy wear? Forgive me if this has been answered before but I could not find a prior thread discussing the topic (many threads on women wear). I ask because I obviously don't want to stick out like a sore thumb and I admittedly have zero fashion sense, especially with any new "trends." I would appreciate any help on this, again I know, silly question. MrMarvin

A few thoughts from Mr. Swingularity (and Mrs. Swingularity has always stood and watched in awe at Mr. Swingularity's ablity to shop fearlessly for himself and her). Before reading the suggestions below, please know YMMV and these are IMHO and you should BE YOURSELF, not try to be someone else. 1) Shoes. These are your foundation. No sneakers. No work shoes. Nothing you walk the dog or mow the grass in. They should be leather. On trend slip-ons, chukka's, ankle boots, and the like are a start. 2) Socks. They need to have been purchased sometime in the last 2 years. Don't be afraid of colors. Black shoes, black/grey/navy base socks. Brown shoes brown, tan, earth tone socks. 3) Belt. Should RELATE to the shoe color. Leather. I like wider belts on even dressish pants, as well as jeans, as they don't pinch or allow pant to bunch above or below. 4) Underwear. Bought within last year. Don't be afraid to go with bold colors and patterns. But black is a sure bet. I like the cotton blend with some stretch fabric boxer briefs that are low on fabric volume. A "boy short" cut. Looks flattering when I'm relaxed, and really nice as arousal finds me. 5) Pants. Lots of options here. One non option: PLEATS. Never, never, never on pleats. They add unflattering volume, and contrary to what "less fit/slender" guys think, they DO NOT make you look slimmer. They make you look NOT slimmer. FLAT FRONT PANTS ONLY. Dress jeans can be really great. Casual chic dress slacks that aren't business focused are everywhere today, and look great. Dress flat front Khaki's in non-tan colors are all around and look great. A slack with some pattern that is subtle can be great. I love blacks and shades of grey, but have red, mauve, dark brown, loden, etc. Thin dress cords in Fall look super. And did I say NO CUFFS? No? I am now. NO CUFFS. Buy the pants for your fit now, not what you hope to fit after losing that 10 or 20 that you're about to lose. 6) Shirts: lots of options here. Don't like polos, personally. Sorry guys, but dress polos are for the country club golf outing. "Club" and casual dress shirts are all around. I prefer non button down collars and collar stays. I think they look, in general, more aesthetically "flowy". Another look that is nice is a stretch t-shirt, black, under a long sleeve knit. Adds nice layering, and can hide a few extra lbs. The t-shirt is like a Spanxs effect. 7) If it's jacket weather a nice unstructured blazer, and there are tons of them, is a nice touch to start the night in. Says something about the man that is akin to "I care about my appearance", so I must be a "care about my partner and my lovemaking" kind of guy. The fit is key here, gents. So many guys have a jacket that's a size or more too big, trying to "hide something". It backfires. Get the perfect fit and drape, and you'll look sleeker. I have one blazer I love: it's a leather blazer in black that just smokes the night. Like a dress jacket meets bad boy club hopper. ? Have a nice watch? They speak volumes. Finishing touches: Your feet are self pedicured. Your fingernails are clean, clipped close, and looking good. You are always shower fresh and not heavily fragranced. And your oral hygiene (that means floss and tongue scraper) is impeccable. You'll look good, feel confident, and be the best you can be...and get noticed. What happens when you open your mouth...that's up to you! Well, this is all fairly brief, YMMV, IMHO, and feel free to think "Dude...wtf?!?!" These basic principles have been in place for me since about my mid-to-late 30's, and refined over the years. If the feedback my wife gets about my attire is anything to go on, the ladies notice. I'd be happy to hear any tips or thoughts on the whole "male attire" issue from others. I'm always looking for ideas! Well, it's off to give my wife a minty fresh kiss... Mr. Swingularity

Hi everyone, husband and I are booked on the Freedom takeover in Nov 2013. This is our first Lifestyle event and we're wondering what do men wear on this cruise so we can come prepared.
-
What's your favorite site to buy costumes for men? I'm looking to get something for hubby to join theme parties for an upcoming lifestyle cruise.

I received a thong a long time ago as a gift. Have never been able to bring myself to wear it. I think I would look like Borat. Should guys wear thongs?

Inspired by something that happened last night - I am wondering just what it is that swing men do - or are supposed to - wear. We have a friend who owns a clothes store that caters mostly to gay men (they do have a small section of club-friendly women's wear). They are working on trying to get involved in marketing to swingers, since there is such an active community here - and since we are friends, he has asked Mrs Spoo and I to help out when he has a "show" at a local swing club of some of the clothing that they recently found at a convention in Vegas. He told me to wear the "kinkiest, sexiest thing" I own... Well - I have to tell you, I was sort of dumb-founded... I mean - the gap between my "sexy" wardrobe and the gleam in this guy's eye was pretty far apart. I knew we weren't talking about the same thing... Granted - I do wear a kilt - and, as inspired by THE Mr. TNT, I do have a really nice black pirate shirt... But having seen the clothes this store typically sells as "kinky and sexy" I am not even close... I told him I really didn't have anything "kinky" and he just laughed and said, "sure you don't." As if ALL swinging men have a vast collection of "kinky wear" as a part of getting your license... My other friend who works there - knowing me much better and much more personally - stepped in and saved the day, suggesting some clothes they have at one of their other stores that would fit the bill. I was game and things worked out... But I was left feeling somewhat remedial... I mean - sexy to me is my tight, but comfortable, Buffalo Jeans, whichever shirt is working at the moment and some chunky boots... Fairly understated, really. Casual, relaxed... I have been to clubs where I have seen men in some really silly outfits - sometimes the male version of "sexy" comes off as kind of silly and a little embarrassing to the whole of the gender - especially when you combine it with enough Grey Goose... So - my question is - what do men wear that is "sexy"? What should be a part of the swing-males closet?

Hello everyone! We are going to an off premise club tomorrow night and I have a hard time deciding what to wear. There's no theme. I have club wear for regular night clubs. When I wear these type of club wear at off premise clubs, I feel overdressed in comparison to the other guys. I like to know from the perspective of the gals, what you find sexy and erotic clothes in a man. For example, I find the clothes in Victoria's Secret and Frederick very sexy and erotic which my wife wears. For man there is no similar catalogs for dressing hot and erotic for the ladies. I most of the time get compliments at work and home for dressing nice. I would be greateful if you all can help me out on what turns the ladies on in terms of a man's clothes. I think ladies have an easier selection than man does to turn us on. By the way I read past threads and it appears that guys have only to dress casual slacks and a nice shirt. I'm not satisfied with that.
