My wife and I love skinny dipping after our youngest is in bed. We have a daughter in college that comes home on some weekends. One weekend recently, she surprised us by coming home early after being out with friends and caught my wife and I in the pool, no swim suits of course. She wasn’t freaked out, she actually was cool about it and hung out by the pool a while. She asked if we would mind if she got in for a swim, we said of course. She went in the house(we thought to get in a swim suit of course) and she came back out wearing a towel which she soon revealed that she also was nude. She is 20 by the way. She said since we were skinny dipping it would be ok for her to as well. My wife was totally fine with it. I’m ok with it, it just caught me by surprise and off guard to say the least to the point where I couldn’t look at her at first since it was my daughter. That went away after a bit. This is the first time she’s went completely nude with us. My wife and I go nude around the house all the time and she would just go around in a T-shirt and panties when she lived at home and when she comes home now. She never had shown an interest in anything more than that before. Am I just over reacting since it was the first time she’s done that and I’m trying to process it? She’s been a free spirit since she was little, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to me. She knows we’re swingers and we’re both bisexual and she thinks that’s awesome, so I don’t know why I reacted the way I did with the skinny dipping. Any ideas and opinions are welcome

Last week while in Germany for work, I had the chance one day to sneak off to one of my favorite spas for a few hours. It is huge and up-scale, with more than half of it reserved for FKK (naked) swimming, sauna, lounging, steam rooms, hot tubs, sunning, etc. What I noticed, and would like you to comment on, is that nearly all of the women (of all shapes, sizes, ages, races and cultures) but not the men, keep their legs tightly together. I don't make a point of opening my legs, but neither do I feel compelled to keep them clamped shut. Of the women who did not (maybe 10%-20%) keep them tightly closed, most of them were sunning themselves. Some of it may be me rebelling (as I am wont to do) against my sister's taunting of me for being a "freak" with a large labia and clit; the other part is just geesh, what is there to hide? Or is a woman parting her legs (and I don't mean wide, wide open) considered overtly sexual? I mean, I've never been hit on in such a situation. Thanks for your thoughts. Petra

I was reading another thread and got to thinking about how many people we have met in the lifestyle that were also nudists. It made me wonder just how many people that swing also consider themselves nudists. So I thought it might make a good poll for the board. Are you a nudist? What are your thoughts on nudism? I am absolutely not a nudist for various reasons, the most important being that I am allergic to the sun and can get sun burned at night in a full moon. Mrs. GT, on the other hand, is what I would call a casual nudist. If we are at a function that allows nudity she will often go topless but I don't think she would go to much effort to go to someplace just to hang out naked. So what about you?

There have been a number of threads regarding how the issue of body image and lack of self-acceptance can be a barrier to even beginning to explore the lifestyle. In most cases it has been women, but there have been examples of men as well. This piece currently on The NY Times website suggests several strategies for getting comfortable with being naked, whether at home or in public situations— nude beaches, nudist resorts, etc. — where being nude is condoned. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/17/well/live/feel-better-naked.html ‘Here’s a quote that notes that body image is a factor in an individual’s libido, an observation that won’t surprise many who hang out on the Swingers Board: "Research shows, for instance, that women’s perceptions of how attractive they are can influence their sexual desire, while being relatively comfortable with one’s appearance has been linked to higher self-esteem and overall life satisfaction."

The pandemic changed the way we dress--or more to the point--stay undressed while at home. The accompanying poll aims to understand the current "dress code" inside your home.

I never found close up pictures of genitalia in online profiles to be a turn on. I much prefer to look at happy faces or even erotic outfits. Microscopic shots of pussy and penis don’t rev my engine. Am I alone?

My hubby and I have been exploring swinging for about a year. We’ve had two separate couples we’ve seen exclusively during this time, it’s all been really great! Like any woman I suppose, I have some insecurities about my body. Mainly my tummy and my “bits”. Although with the ladies I’ve been with (so far) it’s never an issue at all. I just feel I like my bits are ugly. I don’t have these feelings with guys, just girls for some reason. Have you ever been attracted to someone, then have seen them naked and have been turned off? It would be crushing for a play partner not to like me after the see me naked.

How much of an exhibitionist are you (both)?
SuAndBud posted a topic in Polls & Never-Ending Threads
Su and I harbour a fantasy which will hopefully soon be fulfilled at Cap d'Adge where there are daily "Exhibition Sessions" in a designated area of the sand dunes. During this time, adventurous couples and groups "perform" in front of any of the other naturists who care to watch. The rules, we understand to be quite simple. Any of the voyeurs can join in by starting their own exhibition, too but none of the vouyeurs are allowed to join in with you while you are performing without your express permission. Although it is possible to post multiple answers, just one for the ladies and one for the gents, please. For the record, we both voted "No problem (but forget the camera).- 53 replies

I have heard many naturists claim that "nude isn't lewd" and "nudity is not about sex." All I can think is, you sad, jaded, passionless people. My wife and I are routinely nude around our house, around the kids, around family. We have a pool, and in the summer, my wife spends the vast majority of her time at home wearing just a thong bikini bottom, including family dinners, TV time, etc. Now, is that all sexual activity? Of course not. But even in our forties, I still easily get erect just watching her skim the pool or load the dishwasher nude or in her thong. And unlike naturists, I don't WANT to separate nudity from sexiness! Our friend Anna (triad lover) spends a lot of time at our house, and she's a size 16-18, so she's a bit self-conscious of her body. She usually lounges in a one piece swimsuit, and wears some sort of lacy lingerie during sex. I think she looks hotter than hell in the things she wears, but I sometimes wish I could get her to loosen up and go nude more. Personally, I love being nude, and for all the "nasty" reasons! As often as I have gone nude in life (a lot) stripping off my clothes, especially in front of other people, still gives my balls a tingle without fail. I love having my package on display, and if I start getting stiff, all the better. So I don't get "naturists" endorsement of nudity and aversion to erections, either. To me, one leads naturally to the other! When nudity stops being sexy to me, I'll consider myself half dead.

I am at the mature end of the swinging demographic as are my play friends. The ladies have their share of curves and character lines and often prefer to wear something when younger, fitter ladies prefer total nudity. This is just to say clothing is totally OK if it makes you comfortable. This is not a photo shoot. This is intimacy and mutual giving. Besides, a little color and texture is nice to see and feel. When I know my partner is shy I can adjust and just observe that as a boundary. Now, go shopping.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be awesome in Seattle (High of 84 and pure sunshine) and an associate of my husband's (they used to work together in the same department) has offered to take us out on his boat in the Puget Sound. As far as I know, the guy is like a forever bachelor (think George Clooney before he got hitched) but he recently acquired a new girlfriend who will not be coming with us for some reason. He's handsome, maybe 7 or 8 years older than us. Anyway, I've been getting in shape recently and I really want to dress to impress this guy. I have an incredibly sexy bikini I was thinking of wearing while on the boat (its a mini from SNS bikinis), but then I thought, we'll be in the middle of nowhere, how about I just take it all off and get a real tan. My question for now, and keeping in mind that I'd absolutely be down for an MFM with him sometime in the future (keyword is future), is how should I approach this kind of nudity when I'm on the boat? Is it inappropriate, should I ask permission directly to him at the time, should I get my husband to tell/ask him, or should I just commit to my original idea and go for it anyway? I guess you can say I want to take this opportunity to give him my "calling card" but have no plans of any other activity (at least this weekend). It's more of like a, "Hey, look at these goods I got." Maybe later my husband can kind of give him a sales pitch about our idea. We've always seemed to click at dinner parties and events (he's very charming) and I've discussed my fantasies of having an MFM with this guy to my husband a couple times in passing, but I (and we) really have no idea if this guy is into that lifestyle or how serious his new relationship is or even who his girlfriend is. For now, its just really a matter of having the perfect time to show off my tits and shaven pussy. Lol. Guys and/or gals... thoughts?

I have been asked many times over the years when a nude person or persons are naked except for body paint covering their privates or their whole body, are they naked? I have been to Fremont's Solstice Parade, Key West Florida's Fantasy Fest, a lot of festivals all over the U.S. where in public places with large crowds of people all ages, people's nude bodies are covered in body paint. They say it's legal because technically they are not naked because their skin is covered. What do you fine folks say?

Would you go to a nudist beach? Why would you go? So Mr G and I are 'beach babes'. We frequently spend our weekends with our children on a beautiful secluded, tucked away beach with miles of wild coast line. When ever we invite friends (vanilla) friends to join us they always say...that's a nudist beach!!! We have never seen 'the nudist' part, we've always been busy playing with our kids along the shore with the other beach-goers...I actually thought it was a myth... So last weekend I'm walking along with the shore with my brother-in-law, deep in conversation, when after about 20 minutes of walking we look up and realize that we have strayed from home, yes everyone around us is in the buff... Oops we say to ourselves with cheeky smiles and turn back to return to our family and friends about 1km back along the shore. When we return I say to my husband and friends...guess what we found? Mr G finds this amusing and says "really, let's go for another walk and check it out". So off me and Mr G go again...before we leave our family and friends we ask cheekily, does anyone want to come with us...to which one of our friends says "absolutely not, I don't want to go and look at people naked". I replied, "we're not going to look at people. People don't go to a nudist beach just to look at people naked. They go to feel free, liberated, and natural." Or do they? I personally think there's nothing sexier that laying around in the sun, teasing Mr G, naked, covered in oil, tanning my white triangles while He lays next to me getting really turned on but not being able to do a thing about it...

Hello, My wife and I have been swingers for the last 15 years. We don't usually try to swing or have sex with vanilla friends, but sometimes the subject of hot-tubbing comes up. For the most part and like many swingers, we hate going in the tub with clothes on, but how do we tell our friends that we'd rather we all go naked. We find this to be a deal breaker and sometimes and people just shy away from the idea of being in the tub naked with us. The thought of being naked in the tub with Vanilla friends turns us on, even if we don't intend to play or cross the line. Please help!! Maple Cpl in Ontario.

OK, problem on steroids, but, living in a tourist area we have a LOT of people that want to share our home. Now, wearing clothes in the pool, wearing clothes, period, not watching whom is kissing or fondling whom, etc, is problematic. Are we the only ones?

In light of recent conversations about intimacy, I thought these videos would be interesting. They're still fairly guarded, but as open as they can be with someone they don't know. These are strangers really undressing and kissing one another, and the awkwardness is almost painful to watch. But once they let go, you can see that moment I was talking about, where you get to see another human being in all their (nearly) naked glory. It's a very cool experience. For me, this is what swinging is all about! They're promoting swinging without even realizing it. Strangers undressing one another: Strangers kissing one another for the first time:

Was wondering what the opinion is on family nudity in the home. I'm not talking about lounging around watching TV in the nude with the kids around or having lifestyle friends over when the kids are around. What I mean is, are you comfortable changing clothes, getting out of bed in the morning if you sleep in the nude, getting a shower, etc. if your kids are around you. Does it matter if they are a different gender than you, does age matter? Do you think being in the lifestyle makes you more comfortable with this than someone who was not in the lifestyle?

I try to start a poll on this but for some reason I was not able to access this section of the board. So I will just post it here. In the swingers club that we go to there are a few ladies that walk around fully nude in the public areas. On a rare occasion my lady half would disrobe and walk around nude as well. Both I and my lady half will use the pool and spa nude but as a rule we will put a towel on once we get out of the spa. We have talk to a few couples that don’t like being fully nude in the public areas and feel that full nudity should not be allowed in the public areas while other have no problems with it. What’s your intake on full nudity in public areas of a swingers club?

The discussion in another thread got me to thinking if there is a correlation between couples with nudes as their main photo or with fully nude photos and emails from SM's. It is a very small test group in the other thread but it appears that couples with no nude photos get a lot less emails (or none) from single guys. Anyone else care to weigh in on their observations or opinions?
