In another thread a few people who responded that they were somewhere in the bisexual range qualified their answers by saying they weren't attracted to all men or all women. I already knew that, because I know from the inside that attraction to multiple genders doesn't mean attraction to all members of it, but I thought it was interesting enough to comment there. Sunbuckus responded thusly: I think she is correct, that there is a kind of unexamined assumption that bisexual = will do anybody, but I don't know how widespread it is. Is this something you've come across anywhere?

We have had several topics/posts and discussions of late regarding sexual habits before seeking to be in or learn more about swinging in general. I am curious as to what led couples to the lifestyle in general and if their past sexual experiences played a major role in it. Do you think that promiscuity in your past led you to the lifestyle? Do you think the two are intertwined in some way? In the poll it is designed for multiple answers so that those who choose to remain anonymous can but please do not choose more than two and you need to answer differently for each of you. Lori

Count this to either being new or nosey - How many active relationships do people maintain? Do most people keep only 1 or 2 couples in their black-book or do you keep more? As an add on, if you keep multiples, what kind of time passes between experiences?

I was reading the Wikipedia article on sexually liberal feminism just now and I have to wonder how swinging women fit into that mix. The article covers sex-positive feminist positions on pornography, prostitution, BDSM, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The article does NOT mention promiscuity. Many swinging women (and men) consider themselves sex-positive feminists, with no conflict between their promiscuity and feminism. Many swinging women find it sexually liberating to have the option of taking multiple male and female partners. If anybody happens to know of any good authors or other references that I could use to back up the previous paragraph then I would love to hack a new paragraph into that article about it.
