Hello, long time lurker here, married many decades, long interest in lifestyle. Wife has posed many questions to me about lifestyle that I have not been able to answer. Once you have begun to swing how has it affected your marriage? Do you find that over time that you lose intimacy? I have noticed people seem to start swinging and then they seem to disappear. I realize that this is something to be carefully navigated as a couple but is this a recipe for a divorce? There is so much misinformation on the net as many of the sources have agendas. I truly love my wife and am very sexually attracted to her and do not want to destroy something precious. I would love to hear about successful long married long swinging couples who remain highly in love and continue to enjoy sex with each other and carefully selected friends.

If you could change one thing about swinging in your relationship with your spouse, or if your single, what would it be? It doesn't have be just one... Name some things that would make swinging easier, or maybe you don't want to swing at all. Dave and I were talking this morning about our little party we had last night and I brought this up. Does your significant other go wild with strangers more than with you? There are more than a few posts around here that it seems (from the posts) that some SO’s find telling the world and their SO’s that this stranger's cock is amazing and/or the best sex they have had based on the size and skill of it, or they actively go looking for a dick that is way bigger then their SO's - what message do you send to them (your SO) and do they just say it's ok because now you have made a statement that they can never be as good as this stranger - can you tell? I find this rather distasteful to say the least. I can not even think when I would ever say that a chick I had sex with was better than my own wife - different yes, better no way. Also if you cannot give your SO your best performance at home then what is the problem? Hello I should probably start by saying this is something totally new to us and the idea was put to me by my wife, it does pose a few questions! So here goes... Mr. V and I are getting really close to where we want to stop talking about getting into this LS and want to actually do it! :-) And we've pretty much decided we want our first experience to be MMF. But now there's the question of exactly how to get there from here. As we see it there are several potential scenarios: Pick up a single guy at a vanilla bar and take him back to a hotel room we've rented Go to an on-premise club Find an off-premise spot or a meet & greet type thing and take someone back to a hotel room Find a single guy on SLS. If he's local we'd still have to get the room (going back to his place or ours is a deal breaker) but since we live in a high-tourism area there's a pretty good chance he'd already have a room rented. Some other option that we haven't even thought of Just wanted to get advice from those that have been in the LS longer than us. Any pros/cons you feel would be advantageous to us as we try to decide how to get from Point A to Point B?

Here's a simple little question for you... They say practice makes perfect. Have you found that through swinging you and/or your partner have gotten better in bed? It also seems that what a lot of swingers seem to enjoy sexually could be considered somewhat extreme (i.e.; DP, gangbangs, dungeon play etc...) Would you say that your experiences as a swinger has made you more receptive or for lack of a better word, more "kinky"? or are these things that you were already doing before you got into swinging?

There's a reason I don't kick trolls out immediately or remove their posts. It's because sometimes they bring up really good food for thought, even if they approach the subject in a bad way and are obviously just trying to stir the pot. A recent one had some good points in that there are many risks we take in regards to swinging and many of them are risks we don't even think about. The topic is a good one and one that I think does need to be considered, especially in light of some other topics we've had recently. The risk we seem to think about most often is STDs. Every time someone comes and asks about that risk it seems that the typical answer is "yes, we understand that risk and have decided that it's worth taking.....". But there are many other risks. As we've seen from Lost my job for swinging!! one of the biggest risks that often gets over looked is what could happen if the wrong person/people find out about your lifestyle choice. And that leads to even more risks... - loss of job - loss of family - loss of children (we've seen swinging become an issue in custody battles more than once). - loss of friends (are they really friends?). Another risk is that you may destroy your relationship over swinging, if your relationship is not ready for swinging. What are some of the other risks that you think people need to be thinking about before they decide whether or not to swing?
